LaterDude Pro Released! for BlackBerry! (50% Off available!)

Our friend Fabian had released an awesome application called as LaterDude previously which allows you to have full control over who you have to call back when.

He has now released an updated version of LaterDude application for BlackBerry called as LaterDude Pro!

LaterDude Pro is an application that simply reminds you to call, SMS or email someone. The efficiency of it is that it interacts with the system and creates a new event into the internal calendar application.

After installation, LaterDude Pro is available for use on your device. It does not have an icon but is always present on your system via the Menu.

You click on Menu -> Remind me later! to access the application.
You can launch LaterDude Pro from everywhere, but if you are in the following applications then you can invoke the current entry:

- Call Log
- Messages/email Application
- SMS Application
- Address Book

From these 4 applications you can select an entry to directly get its contents imported into the fields of LaterDude Pro.

For example if you want to get notified tomorrow that you have to contact your Doctor, you go into the Address Book, scroll to your Doctor’s entry, press Menu -> Remind me later! to set up a call-back reminder. The phone number and name is then already set in the LaterDude Pro application.

MyBlackBerry.com – RIM’s own Social Network launching tomorrow?

RIM obviously decided to start a social network of their own.

Since there were almost no rumors about this site (until today, of course), here’s what we DO know:

- Users will have to sign up for a profile

- It will probably look like wiki or a bulletin board and NOT like a traditional social network (e.g. facebook)

- You will only be able to see information relevant for your device.

- There might be carrier-specific support sections

RIM is hoping this forum will give them important feedback about their hardware and software (AppWorld), but the users will be able to discuss any BB-related issue, like 3rd party applications, tips & tricks.

No, it’s not available for download at BlackBerry.com, but it’s included in the Tour package.

The BlackBerry User Tools CD that comes with the Tour contains v5.0.0.8 of this software, so i guess it will soon be available for non-Tour-users also (the leaked version has been around for about a month now).

Attention Tour owners: Themes for 9630 NOT available yet

So, if you just bought a Tour – congratulations!

In case you came here to get a nice theme for your new BB, we have some bad news. Unfortunately, The software developers at RIM who are responsible for the theme software (Plazmic) haven’t yet released an update whitch would allow the creation of themes for the Tour. In the past, the update usually came 2 to 6 months after the phone model was available.

Since the Tour has the same screen resolution as the 8900 Curve, maybe this time it won’t take this long. We hope that this update will be available soon, so we can start creating themes for you too.

Live365 available for BlackBerry

Are you into music? I am sure many are! And there are many apps available. I sometimes listen to live music on Live365.com. I am not sure how many of you know about this, but Live365 is available for you’re BlackBerry. The author says that the STORM version is in development. It does say its available for Bold 9000, but am sure it should work on 8900 Curves also. Read below and I have also made direct OTA link available for your folks.
