BlackBerry Curve 8350i: OS v4.6.1.316

For all you Sprint / Nextel users, OS v4.6.1.316 has finally been released for the 8350i.

According to various sources, this update is supposed to fix / rectify the following issues:

- Echo Issue
- MMS Improvements: Remove original message when replying; Cursor now defaults to message body when replying
- Quiet and vibrate profiles will now not have incoming Direct Connect calls blaring over your speakerphone
- Master Radio Reset will no longer cause the device to reboot

After downloading the above file, make sure you go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named “vendor.xml” to make sure your Device Loader recognizes the new software.

BB Curve 8900: OS v5.0.0.83 Info.

As I’m sure some of you guys out there know, what was previously known as 4.7.1 on the BB 8900 will be renamed as 5.0, upon final update.

This update will host the ability to “flick through photos” with the trackball, display a media memory statistics screen, as well as numerous browser improvements. Addtionally, the monotonous white BlackBerry start-up screen with the forever turning hour glass has been removed, and instead, replaced with a black background with a BB logo and progress icon.
