BlackBerry Storm 9530: OS v4.7.0.114

Storm users got another blessing! You wont believe how often these updates are rolling out. RIM’s finally on the ball

Download it: HERE!
Take note to the updated accelerometer sensing. A slight tilt won’t send your sprawling to landscape, but a flip will almost immediately change views. I know previous builds had the lag and over-sensitive problem. Try this out and let the folks here at Hedone Design know! Most importantly, don’t forget to backup..

BlackBerry 9900 Pluto: Really?
March 15, 2009 by Micheal Hilliard

We’re still unsure as to the legitimacy of the 9900 photographs popping up around the web, but this is most definitely a pretty realistic shot. That said, It’s still unknown as to whether or not the 9900 will utilize a SurePress type screen, a standard touchscreen. I’m sort of leaning more towards the SurePress Storm-type screen. But in any event, this release will essentially be what some of you guys have been waiting for: a touch screen, Bold style BlackBerry device. Like the Bold, this phone will feature 3G technology, as well as updated processor speed. However, there will be one major change! NO TRACKBALL!! Hmm, perhaps this is a good thing, taken into consideration the amount of people who end up having problems with their trackball after about 6-8 months…
In any event, the 9900 is set for a Rogers 3rd Quarter release!

* Update: BlackBerry Niagara Close-Ups

There obviously haven’t been too many pictures of the BlackBerry Niagara floating around on the web lately, but I thought I’d post some new shots that popped up the other day for those of you in dire need of an update. (smile)
I’m quite fond of the titanium styled details on the Niagara. Most definitely a nice, personal touch…
As you can see, this is the back side / battery side of the Niagara. Placement of camera & flash is quite similar to that of the Curve.
These photos are obviously much more clearer, and show the BB Niagara in much more detail. The battery door itself, for the first time, is tremendously more narrow. Feel free to give your input on these shots! (:

Amazing “Storm Controlled” McLaren F1 Video!

I saw this a while back on youtube while browsing videos on the Storm, and I’m just now getting around to posting this up. Sorry about that guys.
Anyways, I thought this video was pretty amazing. The BB Storm itself is utterly amazing, but to see someone put technology to use like this.. WOW!
As I’m sure many of you guys know, the 2009 Formula 1 season begins on March the 29th, and ends on November the 1st. I think this video is an amazing dedication to all the racers participating in this extraordinary event, as well as all the fans! In any event, I hope you guys enjoy this video if you haven’t already seen it! It’s most definitely one of the greatest things I’ve ever seen a phone do; after all, how many times have you seen a Remote Control car controlled by a SmartPhone!?
Be sure to check it out!

BlackBerry 9630 (Codename: Niagara)

There’s been an extensive talk about the BlackBerry Niagara for quite some time, and it’s fair to say that most BB users have their fingers crossed for its official release. As for now, Sprint’s anticipated release date is sometime during the third quarter of this year.
As I’m sure many of you are aware, the Niagara will feature a full qwerty keyboard and the trademark BlackBerry trackball. This device has been upgraded to accomidate the most recently developed BB software. Dramatic changes have even been made to improve the browsing experience, making it even better than that of the Storm’s! The browser does support JavaScript 1.6. [:
Although unofficial, it’s believed that the supported OS will most likely be 4.7.1, however there is a remote possibility that it may run OS 5.0–depending on the official launch date. There unfortunately, as of now, is no Wi-Fi, however the phone is a Quad-band phone, and thus has GSM/GPRS/EDGE support, in addition to WCDMA support (probably 2100MHz bands). Currently, release specs indicate that it’s a CDMA 1x/EV-DO Rev. A device. It’s wonderful to see the improvement of BlackBerry’s camera qualities; the Niagara sports a 3.2 megapixel camera. For those wanting to make size comparisons, the display resolution is 480×360.
The release date as of yet is still not set in stone. However, it’s believed that Verizon users will get first shot at it, before Sprint users.
Hopefully, the BlackBerry Niagara will be as good as it’s name implies. (smile) It’s basically a cross-over hybrid between the Bold and the new Curve 8900, but instead, it’s designed for those of you using networks who support CDMA.
